Emily Osment spills the beans on 'Georgie and Mandy's' split
Emily Osment shared her take on the fan-favorite couple's imminent fate in 'Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage'
Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage viewers should reportedly brace themselves since a romantic shake-up is looming for the fan-favorite couple.
As fans will know, the CBS comedy, a spinoff of Young Sheldon and part of The Big Bang Theory universe, follows Georgie Cooper, played by Montana Jordan, and Mandy McAllister, played by Emily Osment, as they navigate young parenthood and their complicated love story.
However, according to Osment, the ticking clock on their future breakup is unavoidable.
In a new conversation with Us Weekly, Osment shared her feelings on when the show should approach Georgie and Mandy's inevitable split.
“Just personally, I hope it takes them a really long time to get there,” Osment told the outlet.
“Hence the title, everybody knows that that’s coming at some point — and it keeps people watching a little longer."
She explained that she prefers a slow burn, and stated, “Personally for me, I’d like to see it have some legs before they break up.”
Longtime Big Bang fans know Georgie eventually marries multiple times, a detail that has made viewers nervous about the couple's fate.
Nonetheless, Osment encouraged fans not to lose faith, and said, “I’m worried too, but I think it’s going to be OK,” she teased.
She then added a hopeful twist for those rooting for the pair.
“I think even if they do split, my hope is that the second marriage is also Mandy. All the marriages [should] be Mandy.”
