Will Smith and Jada Pinkett push back on $3M lawsuit claims

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are frustrated by a $3 million lawsuit filed against Pinkett Smith.

A source shared the development with the press amid the couple's lawsuit with Bilaal Salaam, also known as Brother Bilaal, who alleged in September 2021 that Pinkett hurled threats at him.

The encounter reportedly took place in the lobby of the Regency Calabasas Commons, where she had warned that if he continued "telling her personal business," he would "end up missing or catch a bullet."

The suit claims Pinkett Smith demanded he sign a nondisclosure agreement and followed him to his car while issuing threats.

“They are really mad and say it’s a lot of crap,” a source said, calling Salaam “an opportunistic person out to exploit them.”

The couple reportedly sees the lawsuit as a money grab, adding, “Naturally, both of them dislike people around them talking out of school.”

Salaam’s complaint also mentions a 2023 interview where he claimed he witnessed Smith in a sexual act with Duane Martin, which Pinkett Smith later called “nonsense” on The Breakfast Club.

The lawsuit also accuses the couple of retaliation, which their reps deny, calling it a profit-driven attempt.

Pinkett Smith, 54, married Smith in 1997. They later announced in 2023 that they had been separated for seven years. They share children Jaden, 27, and Willow, 25, while Smith also has son Trey, 33, from a previous marriage.
