Kourtney Kardashian reveals parenting style she uses
Kourtney Kardashian has a distinct parenting style which she has shared
Kourtney Kardashian Barker feels she wasn’t well-informed about motherhood when she became a mom at 30.
During the most recent episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney didn’t know anything about parenting, but her maternal instincts kicked in and helped her navigate the responsibility.
In a confessional, Kardashian Barker reflected on parenting her first child, Mason, now 15, saying, "When I was 30, and I had Mason, nobody told me what to do, I didn’t read any books, but the way that I felt, my maternal instinct, was to do attachment parenting."
"Before I had Penelope though, I read the attachment parenting book and it was more intentional," she explained.
"And even though I was working, I didn’t really think it was an option to not work. Now, I have the option not to work, and I feel grateful to be able to find what I connect to," she added.
The reality star shares sons Mason, Reign, 10, and daughter Penelope, 13, with ex-husband Scott Disick.
She also shares two-year-old son Rocky Thirteen with her current husband, Travis Barker, who is also dad to daughter Alabama, 19, stepdaughter Atiana, 26, and son Landon, 22.
New episodes of The Kardashians air Thursdays on Hulu.
