Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly planning to maintain a lavish lifestyle even after leaving Royal Lodge, claimed a royal historian.

According to Andrew Lownie, the former Duke of York has agreed to vacate the 30-room mansion only after securing certain conditions, per The Express.

He claimed that King Charles has allowed his “disgraced” brother to mark one final Christmas at the Windsor home, he has shared with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.

Lownie suggested that Andrew may eventually leave UK for the Middle East, where he could live quietly while keeping royal privileges and staff.

The move, now delayed until early 2026, shows that Andrew is determined to preserve his comfort and status despite his fall from grace.

This comes amid reports that Andrew and Fergie are being quietly monitored by royal staff at their Windsor home due to growing concerns about their emotional state.

According to OK! Magazine, a source revealed that a move, similar to a suicide-watch system, was introduced after months of public pressure on Andrew and Fergie.

This comes after King Charles took huge step against his own brother by stripping his titles and ordering him to vacate the Royal Lodge over renewed scrutiny due to his past ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

According to reports, the removal of their titles, losing their home and the intense media scrutiny has the former couple overwhelmed.
