King Charles won't go an extra mila for Prince Harry in US
King Charles has more important things to do than pay attention to Prince Harry, says an expert
King Charles won’t be able to make time for Prince Harry during his state visit, says an expert.
His Majesty, who is set to see Donald Trump at the White House in the coming months, won’t make a Pitt stop in California, to see Prince Harry and family.
Former BBC royal correspondent, Jennie Bond, told the Mirror : "State visits are incredibly busy. The schedule is worked out months in advance and is tightly packed with carefully curated engagements designed to enhance bilateral relations.
"There is very little downtime, and I can’t think that the King would fly across the whole country to visit Harry and his family in California."
She added: "I’m sure Charles would love to meet his grandchildren again, and so I suppose it’s conceivable that the Sussexes could take a flight to New York, or wherever the King and Queen are based, for a brief reunion.
"But visits like this are about as official as it can get, and it’s really not a time for patching up severely strained family relationships. A meeting would also inevitably draw the headlines away from the purpose of the visit,” she noted.
Like every year, there are talks surrounding whether the Sussexes will join the royal family in Sandringham to take part in their traditional celebrations.
As per the reports, Prince Harry has been getting quite desperate to actively take part in such occasions, especially to support his cancer-stricken father.
In his interview, the Duke of Sussex even expressed his worry by saying that he does not know how time he has left to spend with the King.
Moreover, Harry also confessed that future UK visits are in the cards.
