King Charles & Prince Harry another meeting is on the cards?
Reports say it's possible King Charles and Prince Harry could be in the same country next year
Earlier this year, King Charles and Prince Harry met to presumably end the tension over the latter’s court case regarding his security in the UK.
Now, speculation is rife that the monarch will meet his son again during his expected visit to the US next year.
Though the tour is not confirmed, reports indicate the negotiations are underway for King to arrive in the States with his wife, Queen Camilla, in April.
But a royal expert is skeptical that the meeting could be on the monarch's agenda.
“State visits are incredibly busy. The schedule is worked out months in advance and is tightly packed with carefully curated engagements designed to enhance bilateral relations,” Jennie Bond tells The Mirror.
With the experience from being a royal correspondent for the BBC, she further states, “There is very little downtime, and I can’t think that the King would fly across the whole country to visit Harry and his family in California."
But if Charles is unable to meet due to his busy schedule, can Harry travel to him?
Jennie says it’s possible.
"I’m sure Charles would love to meet his grandchildren again, and so I suppose it’s conceivable that the Sussexes could take a flight to New York, or wherever the King and Queen are based, for a brief reunion.
"But visits like this are about as official as it can get, and it’s really not a time for patching up severely strained family relationships. A meeting would also inevitably draw the headlines away from the purpose of the visit," she concludes.
