Cynthia Erivo's Thanksgiving Parade performance labelled as 'awful'
Wicked star Cynthia Erivo has revealed what an "honour" it ws for her to open the Thanksgiving Parade this year.
On Thursday, Erivo performed Feeling Good on street in the middle of the New York City.
While the actress expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, fans seem to be upset by her performance.
The actress and singer took to Instagram and wrote, "What an honor to open the parade this year. Thank you for having me @macys @nbc @peacock."
She went on to write, "Now time to get back home to celebrate with my family and friends!"
"Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours," Erivo concluded.
In the comments section, fans shared their mixed reviews with one stating, "OMG this is one of the most awful performances I’ve seen in my life. She can do so much better im sure."
Another added, "All the attention was clearly given to her wicked press tour. She should’ve practiced the song at least once."
Yet, a fan praised the performance of Cynthia Erivo, stating, "happy thanksgiving angel!!! what a beautiful opening performance."
