Colombia’s Catalina Duque wins Miss International 2025 crown in Tokyo

Miss International 2025 has crowned Catalina Duque of Colombia as its new titleholder.

Duque triumphed over 80 contestants from around the world on Thursday in the long-running competition, which was founded in Long Beach, California, in 1960.

The event, held in Tokyo, Japan, was hosted by Venezuela’s 2023 Miss International winner, Andrea Rubio, alongside 2019 Miss International Japan Momi Okada and Max Powers.

The top 20 contestants competed in both swimsuit and evening gown before the top 10 advanced to the public-speaking round to present their sustainable development goal initiatives.

Right after being crowned, Duque bowed to her fellow contestants and dedicated the win to Colombia. She said the pageant felt like a sisterhood. “Miss International really is a sisterhood … we’re more than beauty, we are united.”

Duque was born in Miami in 1999, but grew up with roots in Antioquia, Colombia. She holds a degree in Social Communication from EAFIT University. Prior to her pageant success, she worked in the corporate sector.

Last year’s winner, Vietnam's Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy, made history as the country’s first Miss International titleholder.

Her victory brings Colombia its fourth Miss International crown, after wins in 1960, 1999, and 2004.
