Princess Anne hosts Christmas Tea Party at St James's Palace

Princess Anne and her husband Timothy Laurence hosted the annual charity Christmas Tea Party for The Not Forgotten Association St James's Palace on Wednesday.
The only sister of King Charles is the patron of The Not Forgotten Association, a tri-service charity which provides entertainment, respite, and challenge events for injured, ill, or isolated veterans and serving personnel of all ages, ranks, and backgrounds.
According to GB News, this year, The Not Forgotten Association marked the 80th anniversaries of VE and VJ Day, as well as celebrating 105 years since the charity was founded in the wake of World War One.
The outlet reported that organization supported 10,000 veterans in its first year in 1920, and continues to help 10,000 beneficiaries every year.
Ahead of her 75th birthday in August, a YouGov poll week showed Anne was the third-most popular of the royals, just behind heir Prince William and his wife Kate, with 70% of those surveyed having a favourable view of her.
Born in 1950, Anne became renowned as a young princess for her rather brusque, plain-speaking public demeanour.
While other members of the Windsor family have become staple tabloid fodder, Anne has eschewed the limelight although she was involved in one of the most dramatic royal events of modern times when an armed man attempted to kidnap her near Buckingham Palace in 1974.
To mark her birthday, Buckingham Palace released a new photograph of the horse-loving princess, who is often credited with being the hardest-working member of the British royal family.
