North West gives blunt advice to Kim Kardashian for Met Gala 2025

Kim Kardashian is a regular at the Met Gala events. But this year, she was nervous to attend the event, the fashion mogul reveals.

Her reluctance stemmed from fit issues with her skin-tight black leather dress by Chrome Hearts.

But her daughter, North West, gave her blunt advice, which convinced her to go. The latest episode of The Kardashians shows this conversation.

"You have to go," the 12-year-old tells her mom. "What's the worst that could happen? People hate on your outfit? They do that every year,” adding, "You just have to go—that's it."

Her words proved a key motivating factor for Kim, as she decided to step out at the event held at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

There, the Skims founder spoke to Vogue, sharing that her daughter is a “big critic” of her fashion.

"She's also in a really positive place right now," she said, adding,  "Where it's just like, 'Hey, even if that's not my style, I'm not going to critique that, just be you, and if you like that, then that's what you should be into.'"

This is not the first time North shared her blunt opinion of her mom's fashion choices. She previously called Kim’s Balenciaga outfit a “plastic bag.”

But criticism from her eldest daughter did not always sit well with the mother-of-four. "You can't really take it seriously, getting roasted by a 10-year-old," she previously said. "I never do, but it stings a little."

In addition to North, Kim shares three other children. Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West.
