Is D4vd cleared in Celeste Rivas Hernandez case: Here's what we know
In a recent update, the LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division disclosed that the medical examiner has not yet determined Celeste Rivas’s cause of death.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has shared a major update in connection with the 15-year-old girl, Celeste Rivas, whose decomposed body was found in a Tesla truck owned by D4vd on September 8, 2025.
According to the death certificate of the 15-year-old teen, Celeste Rivas, it states her death as “deferred” and the manner of death as “pending investigation,” indicating that the autopsy and official findings have not been finalized yet.
The LPDA has officially confirmed that the ‘Romantic Homicide’ singer David Anthony Burke, a.k.a. D4vd, is not a suspect in the tragic death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
The medical examiner has further confirmed that the remains found are those of Celeste Rivas, a teenager from Lake Elsinore reported missing in 2024.
Although the investigation still continues, there have been no arrests or charges filed against the singer as yet.
Investigators noted that it is still ambiguous whether a crime took place beyond the hiding of her body, and no suspects have been identified at this stage.
As for now, the investigators are awaiting lab and toxicology reports to ascertain the circumstances of her death and if the death will be ruled a homicide.
