Jelly Roll shaves off beard after a decade amid weight loss journey
The country star and rapper debuts a clean-shaven look, something even his wife Bunni XO hasn't seen before
Jelly Roll is embracing a completely new look amid his weight loss journey.
The country star has officially shaved off his beard, debuting a clean-shaven look for the first time in a decade.
The entire shaving process was recorded and shared on Instagram by his wife, Bunnie XO, on Thursday, November 13.
In the clip, Bunnie set the scene with a confession. “You guys, I have been with my husband for going on 10 years now, [and] I have never seen this man without his facial hair. Not one freaking time,” she said, before teasing that the moment felt right “now that he’s so skinny.”
Getting ready for the facial makeover, Jelly Roll cracked a joke of his own: “We're trying to see if a face lift might be in order.”
For the record, the Save Me hitmaker has lost nearly 91 kgs (200 lbs.) since beginning his weight loss in 2022, dropping from his peak weight of 250 kgs (550 lbs.).
He moved off-camera to begin trimming while Bunnie refused to peek.
“He just kicked me out of the room,” she told viewers, returning only after he’d cycled through several temporary looks — including a “goatee” and a “cop stash.”
When he finally revealed his clean-shaven face, Bunnie went through the stages of grief, gasping as she admitted, “The total naked face, it's not terrible.”
The couple then surprised friends with Jelly Roll’s new look, sparking reactions ranging from “Oh my God, I’m gonna cry” to “What the f***? I am scared.”
As fans begged for a full reveal, Bunnie reminded them, “Hey guys, he will show y’all when he’s ready.”
