Taylor Swift marks new achievement after Hall of Fame nomination

Taylor Swift has created her mark in songwriting, and she is receiving great appreciation for her legacy of almost 20 years.

The 35-year-old pop superstar is now the number one female songwriter of the 21st century, according to a new list compiled by Billboard.

The Fate of Ophelia hitmaker was recently nominated for the Songwriters Hall of Fame for the 2026 ceremony, and Swifties were not surprised by the new milestone.

The fans took to social media and celebrated the achievement, while also criticising the outlet for ranking other male musicians above Swift, who was placed at number 4.

“DRAKE?? A BETTER WRITER THAN TAYLOR??! HUHHHHHHHH,” wrote one X user, while another added, “Taylor didn’t just top a list she defined an era. Her songwriting has become the roadmap for modern pop storytelling, and this crown feels like long-overdue recognition.”

A third chimed in, “I can't believe we're even debating this when she literally wrote folklore and evermore in quarantine while everyone else was making sourdough bread. The woman has single-handedly destroyed more men's reputations through three-minute songs than most people accomplish in their entire careers.”

One declared, “From heartbreak anthems to stadium bangers, Taylor’s pen has shaped the soundtrack of the century,” and “That's huge, but honestly, not surprised at all. Her catalog runs so deep; I'd say ‘All Too Well’ alone makes a strong case.”

The 14-time-Grammy winner herself has not reacted to the news yet.
