Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn are all set to bring one of the most renowned rivalries in boxing to the ring for the second time this year.
The feud which started between their fathers Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn has been brought back by their sons, who had a 12-round bout in April this year, that landed both of them in hospital.
The April fight was won by Chris and now Benn has another shot at the 36-year-old athlete.
Seven months after what many call “fight of the year”, the rivalry is back. Both athletes have revealed that their fathers are not happy with their decision to keep fighting.
Talking about the April bout, Conor said that his father Nigel Benn repeatedly kept asking him, “Why are you putting yourself through this? Why are you guys doing this?”
He said the fight left him nauseous but for Nigel it was all about emotion, adding, “This is what we do and this is what we are.”
Eubank Jr, who dropped down to 160lb for the fight and stole the show, said, “Dehydration was the main issue but it was over in a couple of days after getting a few drips.”
The winner of the last bout said his father wasn’t happy either about the first fight and he is not happy about the second bout also, adding, “Eubank Sr wants me to retire”.
The highly anticipated bout is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025. The boxing match will take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The fight is expected to begin at around 4:45 p.m. U.K. time.
This fight might be the last chapter of the famous boxing rivalry that started nearly 35-years-ago.
