Travis Barker makes heartfelt admission about life backstage
Travis Barker details important sacrifices he makes for life goals
Travis Barker turned his life around after a drastic accident, and he couldn’t be happier about it.
The 49-year-old drummer proudly admitted that he is “so proud of where I’m at 50,” ahead of his 50th birthday on November 14.
The Blink-182 rocker continued, “It’s incredible. I’m healthier now than I’ve ever been, I’m in better shape now than I’ve ever been. I’m happier now than I’ve ever been. So it’s just, I just see it as a blessing. I love being 50. I love to say that I’m here. And I figured out so much that I didn’t know even five years ago,” in a new interview with Us Weekly.
The musician noted that his family is the number one priority in his life, and he has learnt that caring for them is only possible if he prioritises his own well-being, which is why he has become a regular marathon runner and focuses on eating healthy as well.
Barker has also been sober for years, and as he told the outlet, the change has been nothing but positive.
“I’m so thankful for the way things are now. And I thought everything was easy then, but it’s so much easier the way I live now,” he said.
