Tom Cruise in good spirits following breakup with Ana de Armas

Tom Cruise was spotted out alone in London on Wednesday, marking his first public appearance since the end of nine-month relationship with actress Ana de Armas.

The 63-year-old Hollywood star appeared in his element as he greeted staff with smiles and waves upon arriving at a helipad in the capital. Dressed in a smart black short and dark navy chinos, the Mission: Impossible and Top Gun actor looked composed and relaxed despite the recent breakup.

While it's unclear what brought Tom to London, his demeanor suggested he was in positive form.

Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, Ana, 37, was seen indulging in some retail therapy on Beverly Hills' iconic Rodeo Drive. 

The Knives Out beauty appeared to be treating herself to a shopping spree, spotted carrying a stylist Louis Vuitton handbag-and possibly adding another to her growing collection.

Tom and Ana last seen together in July, looking loved-up as they made their romance public during a romantic getaway to Woodstock, Vermont. 

The pair were photographed hand-in-hand throughout the trip, seemingly inseparable at the time. Reports of their split emerged last month, with sources claiming the actress decided to end the relationship.

A source close to the pair told The Sun: 'Tom and Ana had a good time together but their time as a couple has run its course. 

'They are going to remain good friends but they are not dating anymore.' 

Close to the same as their split, Tom's ex-wife Nicole Kidman split from her husband Keith Urban.
