It only took Miles Teller and Brandi Carlile some basic compliments to impress Saturday Night Live cast members Andrew Dismukes and Ashley Padilla.
On Thursday, October 30, the NBC comedy sketch shared a few promotional videos ahead of the upcoming episode.
In a newly released SNL promo Miles Teller opened the video, saying, “Hi, I'm Miles Teller and I'll be hosting SNL this week with Brandi Carlile Brandi, before Padilla chimed in, saying, “I love your new album.”
Meanwhile, Dismukes complimented Miles, adding, “your new movie looks amazing.”
Teller Carlile thanked both of the SNL cast members for the flattering words followed by Padilla asking cheekily, “Any compliments for us?”
The host and musical guest found themselves in an awkward spot and tried to smooth it over with few generic admiration.
“I love your sketches,” Carlile initiated, Dismukes inquired which ones? “the one where Ashley's in a wig and being weird,” she
Miles shot an odd compliment for Dismukes, “you're kind of like the straight man, and you're wearing clothes.”
After getting such simple “appreciation” Padilla broke into fake tears, and couldn't thank them enough as for Dismukes he couldn’t stop smiling.
