Justin Bieber reveals why he wasn't able to console Hailey during childbirth
Justin Bieber recalls his 'heightened emotions' during son Jack Blues' birth last year
Justin Bieber is opening up about tension in the delivery room when his wife Hailey was giving birth to their son Jack Blues last this year.
During a recent Twitch livestream, the 31-year-old singer recalled a tense moment with Hailey’s doula, admitting he felt overlooked during the birth of his first child.
“My emotions are heightened. I don’t want you to take away from my moment either as the dad,” Justin said. “Like, I got this too. There are times when I need to console Hailey, and I felt like she was pushing me to the side so that she could do it.”
The Peaches hitmaker added, “I have good instincts with this stuff, too. It’s, like, instinctual to be a dad and to be there. [The doula was] supposed to be there to help facilitate where I don’t know.”
Hailey, 28, gave birth in August 2024 after being induced at 39 weeks. “Giving birth was the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” she told Vogue, revealing her 18-hour, medication-free labour led to a postpartum hemorrhage. “I was bleeding really badly, and people die, and the thought crosses your mind.”
Doctors managed to stop the bleeding, and since then, the couple has embraced parenthood — frequently sharing glimpses of their new family life with baby Jack.
The couple celebrated their son’s first birthday on August 22, with Hailey penning a sweet Instagram tribute: “1 year of you my beautiful boy. Happy 1st Birthday Jack Blues, you are joy personified.”
Earlier this month, the Rhode Skin founder shared photos of her toddler experiencing his first Spooktober, looking at pumpkins and skeleton decorations.
“Jacktober,” she captioned the post.
