Prince William and Kate celebrate Rupert Fund’s big 50 with heartfelt note

The Prince and Princess of Wales may have missed the big celebration, but they didn’t let that stop them from sending heartfelt praise to the Rupert Fund on its golden anniversary. 

In a personal letter, the royal couple expressed their admiration for the organisation’s enduring impact, writing with warmth and best wishes to all involved.

The royal couple also shared the somber news of the passing of the Duchess of Kent, the Fund’s longtime patron, expressing their condolences and paying tribute to her enduring legacy.

Since its founding in 1975, the Rupert Fund has been a powerhouse for change in Northern Ireland, championing children and young people through education, community development, and the arts. 

Over five decades, it has adapted to meet evolving needs, ensuring its programs remain meaningful, relevant, and transformative.

Their letter, shared via social media reads, "We will never forget those who died for peace, and in the service of this country. This comes with mine and Catherine’s best wishes to you all.”

The City of London Police Federation had the distinct honour of providing ceremonial guard services at the Rupert Fund's 50th Anniversary Gala. 

This prestigious event celebrated five decades of the Fund's unwavering support for the widows and mothers of fallen officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland. 

The gala not only commemorated the Fund's legacy but also highlighted the enduring bonds within the policing community.
