David Beckham opens door to new criticism amid Harper 'photos' controversy
Now, the footballer has shared another picture-this time of Harper kissing him on the cheek
David Beckham has reopened discussion around the criticism he previously faced towards his daughter, Harper.
The retired Manchester United player often shares family photos on social media, where he regularly expresses his love for his family.
The British midfielder was once embroiled in a controversy after he posted a photo on Instagram showing him kissing his only-daughter Harper, sweetly on the lips.
Now, the footballer, 50, has shared another picture-this time of Harper kissing him on the cheek which was also shared by his wife, Victoria.
The former Spice Girl shared the heartwarming image of David and Harper after the family enjoyed dinner with her parents, Jackie and Tony.
David previously defended himself against critics who claimed that kissing his daughter on the lips was inappropriate.
Speaking in a Facebook Live stream, he explained that he kissed all his children on the lips-except for his eldest son, Brooklyn.
Baffled by the strong reaction the photo received, David said: 'I kiss all my kids on the lips. Brooklyn maybe not.
'Brooklyn was then 18, so she might find that a little strange, but I am very affectionate with the kids. It's how I was brought up and Victoria and it's how we are with our children.'
The former England captain continued: 'We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them and support them.'
Like David, Victoria has also shared photos of herself kissing Harper-notably during a 2017 holiday when the two were taking a dip in the pool together.
