King Charles appears to be coming under fire once again after his team is being criticised for what appeared to be careless move, especially at a time when the royals are under intense scrutiny.
The furore surrounding Prince Andrew has plagued the royal family for the longest time and it continues to overshadow the vital work done by the Palace. The King had hoped that removing Andrew’s royal titles and honours would salvage the reputation of the royal family, but it continues cause trouble for Charles.
In a report published in the London Times on Sunday, the team of the monarch suggest that the Andrew problem was something inherited by Charles as the late Queen Elizabeth II had a “weak spot” for her “favourite son”, the disgraced Andrew.
An insider suggested that it’s as if the late Queen “left an unexploded bomb for Charles”.
The Royalist’s Tom Sykes suggested that the King’s camp is in chaos and his court is “fragmented and fried”. He explained that the team is looking to “pin the most toxic scandal of the Windsor age on a woman three years dead, whose devotion to her role made her a byword for duty”.
Meanwhile, the royal watchers have juxtaposed the situation with Prince William and how he has been quietly taking action when needed, without making a fuss over it.
After Charles’s ascension to the throne in 2022, William took over the Duchy of Cornwall and has had to deal with a number of complaints about abysmal conditions for tenants.
One user on X claimed that after “an investigation revealed property issues”, William rose to the occasion and “fixed” it.
“He didn't complain to the media that he had inherited the problem,” they added. “Charles, on the other hand... Blames his dead mum.”
