Zara Tindall starts National Hunt with daughter Mia
Zara Tindall masters ‘quiet luxury’ in chic autumn look at Cheltenham
Zara Tindall proved that style and sport go hand in hand as she stepped out with her daughter Mia for a rare public appearance at Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday.
The duo turned heads at the Showcase Meeting, the official kickoff of the 2025–26 National Hunt season bringing a touch of royal glamour to the Gloucestershire venue.
The daughter of Princess Anne wore a caramel wool coat from Hobbs, cinched at the waist with a belt and paired with a chic brown turtleneck.
Her daughter, who shares her mother’s love of horses, joined her for the event, marking a stylish start to the new equestrian calendar.
No stranger to the racing world, Zara remains a beloved figure in British sport, having claimed an Olympic silver medal in eventing at the 2012 London Games and it seems young Mia is fast following in her mother’s hoofprints.
Zara and her husband, former rugby star Mike Tindall, are known for keeping family life private, rarely stepping out with their three children.
But this weekend’s outing offered a glimpse of the close knit pair, who share a deep love for the sport.
Living just a stone’s throw away on the Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire, Zara is a familiar face at Cheltenham’s key fixtures.
Global fashion stylist Gabrielle Mai, praised Tindall’s Cheltenham look as “refined autumnal dressing at its best.”
Mai described the royal’s outfit as “tonal and effortlessly elegant,” how the rich caramel wool coat, neatly cinched at the waist, “creates a sculpted silhouette that perfectly balances structure with softness.”
