Sombr gives rare insight into budding friendship with Taylor Swift

Sombr has a new friend in the music industry, and it's none other than Taylor Swift, who recently showed public appreciation for his music.

The 20-year-old singer took to TikTok and shared a video of himself gushing over the pop superstar, 35, whom he has admired since childhood.

The back to friends hitmaker was lip-syncing to a trending audio and wrote, “when someone asks if i'm a true swiftie but taylor herself gave me this necklace” over the clip.

Reacting to the TikTok, fans flocked to the comments with one writing, “we love sombr!”

While another joked, “Lmao her shout-out kinda broke him a little,” referring to Swift mentioning him as one of her favourite singers, in a recent interview.

However, some social media sleuths accused the we never dated singer for “clout chasing” as they wrote, “First a nepo-baby to his events producer dad…Now riding the coattails of TS…”

Another echoed, “not him using taylor to clear his image now that hes getting cancelled,” as Sombr is currently facing controversies after a fan spilled the beans on allegedly weird behaviour during his concert.

This is not the first time Sombr has talked about the 14-time-Grammy winner on his social media; he also shared a video recently showing off a handwritten letter she sent him.

“I love Taylor Swift forever it is the nicest message i've read ever,” he said of the note.
