Katy Perry finds new romance with Justin Trudeau after breakup
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau seen getting cosy on a yacht, sparking romance buzz
Katy Perry seemed to have found a new spark in her life after parting ways with Orlando Bloom.
The pop star was said to be quietly dating former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and things appeared to be going well between them.
Sources told Us Weekly that Katy, who turns 40 this weekend, was “really into” Trudeau, 53, and happier than she’s been in a while.
The Dark Horse hitmaker wanted to keep the romance private and spend more quiet time with him away from the spotlight.
“She’s not looking to publicize this relationship,” the insider said, adding that their friends think they make a great pair.
The Small Talk singer and her new romance were first spotted together in July, enjoying dinner in Montreal.
More recently, the two were seen getting cosy on a yacht, which only added to the buzz around their budding romance.
This new chapter came after Katy and Orlando Bloom ended their long engagement earlier this year.
However, the two, who share daughter Daisy Dove, decided to focus on co-parenting.
Their split was said to be peaceful, with both stars wanting to raise their daughter with love and respect.
Trudeau, who stepped down as Canada’s Prime Minister in March 2025, also went through his own breakup last year after 18 years of marriage to Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.
While insiders said that Katy and Justin’s relationship wasn’t serious yet because of her busy tour schedule, they stayed in touch and planned to see each other again soon.
