Prince Harry releases message to steer wisely amid William’s crackdown
Prince Harry makes plea to about the future to ‘serve humanity, not replace’ as Prince William takes strict approach
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have carried on to use their titles as Duke and Duchess of Sussex, issued a statement about a pressing matter, as major changes take place in the royal family.
The Sussexes left their senior royal positions back in 2020 to live an independent life from the Firm, but in the spirit of public service, the couple set up their Archewell Foundation, to continue their work.
On Wednesday, the couple shared a statement on the AI Superintelligence as they were asked to join “an unprecedented coalition of world-renowned leaders including AI scientists, experts, policy makers, and researchers” as they discussed how reliable and safe it is for use.
The move in made in light of the public’s lack of trust and dissatisfaction as the technology remains unchecked and yet it progresses exponentially in its growth.
“This first of its kind coalition is remarkably ideologically diverse and global, signalling strong concern about the future of AI technology.”
The message from Archewell stressed that “innovation in AI offers incredible potential for progress, rushing toward superintelligence without safeguards could have unthinkable consequences for humanity”.
Prince Harry made a meaningful statement after he joined the crucial initiative. “The future of AI should serve humanity, not replace it. The true test of progress will be not how fast we move, but how wisely we steer,” he said.
As parents, Harry and Meghan have supported initiatives and moves made to safeguard young people from harm and especially online.
The update comes amid Prince William’s involvement in removing his disgraced uncle, Prince Andrew’s dukedom and other royal honours. It has sparked what would become of Harry and Meghan’s titles in the future.
Even though Harry and Meghan have led their initiatives with their Sussex titles, Prince William’s ground-breaking reforms for the monarchy also put Prince Archie and Lilibet’s titles at risk. Harry’s statement could also be a subtle message to his estranged brother to steer wisely in slimming down the monarchy.
