Kate Cassidy shares last emotional memories with Liam Payne
Kate Cassidy shares the heartfelt goodbye she shared with late music icon Liam Payne
Kate Cassidy opened up about the “long, heartfelt” goodbye she shared with Liam Payne before his tragic death last year.
The 26-year-old influencer revealed in an emotional TikTok video that she left Argentina to return to the US just days before the former One Direction star fell from his hotel balcony on 16 October.
Reflecting on their final meeting, she said it still feels “weird” to remember how much time she spent expressing her feelings for him.
“I come on here not to cry — I feel honestly extremely numb today,” she said.
“I wanted to express how important it is to remind your loved ones how much you love them. You never know what tomorrow brings.”
Kate became teary as she recalled sitting with Liam before her flight. “I was just expressing to him how much I’m going to miss him, how much I love him.
He looked at me and said, ‘Kate, you’re going to miss your flight. You’re acting like this is the last time you’re ever going to see me again.’ And little did I know, it literally was.”
She said she felt grateful their final moments were filled with love, adding, “I’m so, so glad that me and Liam had that last goodbye the way it was.”
However, the girlfriend of the late star recently shared that she struggled deeply after his passing, as she told Page Six that grief left her unable to “live [her] life” until she slowly began focusing on her mental health again, setting alarms to wake earlier, exercising, and eating clean.
“Being active always keeps my mind so much healthier,” she said.
