Princess Caroline becomes grandmother again, baby joy in Monaco
Beatrice Borromeo and Pierre Casiraghi’s timeless love story
Princess Caroline’s son, Pierre Casiraghi, and his glamorous wife, Beatrice Borromeo, have welcomed a baby girl to the ever growing Grimaldi family tree.
The couple, who marked their tenth wedding anniversary earlier this year, are already proud parents to two sons, Stefano, eight, and Francesco, seven.
Their daughter’s arrival makes this the third child for Pierre and Beatrice and the eighth grandchild for Princess Caroline of Hanover.
News of Beatrice’s pregnancy first surfaced in May when journalist and ICON magazine founder Inga Griese shared photos from the Dior Cruise 2026 show, where the model and filmmaker was radiant in a flowing ensemble that perfectly framed her baby bump.
“It was a true pleasure to meet again with the icon of beauty and brain, Beatrice Casiraghi Borromeo, who is happily pregnant with a girl after two sons,” Griese wrote at the time.
The couple’s love story is one straight out of a modern royal fairytale. The pair first met as university students in Milan, where sparks quickly flew between them.
After a whirlwind romance, Pierre proposed, and the couple tied the knot on 25 July 2015 in a stunning celebration that perfectly blended glamour and old-world elegance.
Their wedding first on the shores of Monaco, then followed by a lavish ceremony on Beatrice’s family’s private Borromean Islands remains one of Europe’s most memorable royal unions.
In 2021, Tatler crowned her the most stylish European royal, praising her for “cutting an elegant figure everywhere she goes whether it’s a red carpet, a royal appearance, or simply yacht hopping with her equally chic sister-in-law, Charlotte Casiraghi, making for the perfect fashion partner-in-crime.”
