Ed Sheeran responds to Taylor Swift's Fallon interview

Taylor Swift recently opened up about why her close friend Ed Sheeran found out about her engagement to Travis Kelce through Instagram instead of a personal call.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Swift explained that Sheeran's lack of a working phone made it difficult for her to reach out to him directly.

"He doesn't have a phone! And this is one thing I love about him. It's very eccentric. Love it," Swift said, highlighting the unique aspect of their friendship.

The Anti-Hero hitmaker revealed that she typically contacts Sheeran via email or FaceTime, but he needs to find an iPad to respond, which often leads to humorous situations.

When the news of her engagement broke, Swift realised they had forgotten to call Sheeran, prompting her to exclaim, "Oh my God, we forgot to call Ed! Oh no!" Sheeran later confirmed Swift's explanation on The Tonight Show's TikTok, writing, "Hello from my allotted iPad time, this is factual."

The two musicians have shared a strong bond since 2012, when Sheeran served as the opening act on Swift's Red Tour. They have collaborated on several songs, including Everything Has Changed and End Game.

The singer-songwriter even hinted that Sheeran might perform at her wedding, joking that "if there is a stage, you know you'll be on it."
