Eugene Levy opens up about avoiding royal drama in chat with Prince William
The Canadian actor appeared alongside the Prince of Wales in the October 3 episode of The Reluctant Traveler.
Eugene Levy revealed that he made a conscious decision not to bring up Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during his on-camera conversation with Prince William at Windsor Castle.
The 78-year-old Canadian actor and comedian appeared alongside the Prince of Wales, 43, in the October 3 episode of The Reluctant Traveler.
Speaking after the episode was released, Mr. Levy explained: 'I was not told I could not ask anything, but it wasn't really, you know, up to me, to get into t hat.
'I had no interest in asking him about that, because it was, you know, a very delicate issue and certainly not up to me to get into it.
'I think there were other things, you know, I could lead the conversation to that might be interesting for him and interesting for the world to hear.'
He continued to tell ITV: 'But that was something I wasn't necessarily interested in getting into.'
During the Apple Tv episode, Prince William opened up about his family, including his children, and reflected on the recent cancer diagnosis of both the Princess of Wales and King Charles.
He also shared his hopes to bring about 'change for good' in his future role as King.
In a separate interview with CNN, royal correspondent Max Foster asked Levy whether he had anticipated the conversation becoming so personal.
