Inside Jeffery Epstein’s secret call to Sarah Ferguson
What did Sarah Ferguson and Epstein discuss in bombshell phone call
Sarah Ferguson’s reputation took a major hit over the weekend as shocking details about her ties to convicted financier Jeffery Epstein were exposed.
In an unearthed email, the Duchess of York had issued a grovelling apology to the financier for publicly shaming him and cutting off her ties during a 2011 interview.
A spokesperson for Prince Andrew’s ex-wife had insisted that the email was only sent to him as the financier had been threatening to pursue legal action against her. They insisted that Fergie stands by her interview and does not condone Epstein’s actions.
Although, the damage was already done as seven charities promptly severed their ties from Fergie in a matter of 24 hours.
Now, the Duchess’s spokesman James Henderson revealed to The Telegraph the ‘menacing’ details behind a phone call that forced Fergie to send the grovelling email in which she described him as a “steadfast, generous and supreme friend”.
The email was sent in 2011, after Epstein was convicted of procuring a child for prostitution.
Describing the phone call that prompted the email, James Henderson, her spokesman and adviser, said:
“People don’t understand how terrible Epstein was,” he explained. “I can remember everything about that call.”
He continued, “It was a chilling call and I’m surprised anybody was ever friends with him given the way he talked to me.
Epstein “wasn’t shouting” when he said that “he would destroy the York family and he was quite clear on that.”
James added, “He said he would destroy me. He wasn’t shouting. He had a Hannibal Lecter-type voice. It was very cold and calm and really menacing and nasty.”
The spokesperson also shares being ‘sufficiently rattled’ and he never wanted to pick up a call from him again.
