Cardi B makes shocking confession about Offset amid divorce battle

Cardi B has opened up about the messy details of her ongoing divorce from Offset, saying money is the main reason the split has not been finalised.

The 32 year old rapper filed for divorce more than a year ago but revealed on a livestream that financial disputes were slowing the process. 

She added, "Y’all wanna know the tea? The only way I can get out of my marriage is if I pay for somebody else’s taxes, even though I pay for my own, and give them one of my properties. I’mma fight for that. This is not no love s***. I’m not gonna stop living my life."

According to Cardi, Offset was demanding millions of dollars before agreeing to finalise the separation. 

The Up singer further explained, "On a contract, I'm practically still married, because somebody [wants to] hold me hostage, if I don't give them millions of dollars to get out of it."

Since their split, the music icon admitted she's been partying a lot as a way to distract herself. 

However, the singer even told fans on X that she planned to slow down after months of going out. 

Cardi, who started dating NFL player Stefon Diggs, shared that she preferred not to sit at home overthinking her problems, as she said keeping busy helped her avoid falling into sadness or making bad choices like reaching out to her ex.

For the unversed, Cardi and Offset married in 2017 and their relationship has faced many ups and downs throughout their marriage.
