World’s first ultrasonic knife with 40,000 vibrations per second unveiled in US
The hightech knife is priced at $399
The world’s first ultrasonic knife has been unveiled by Seattle Ultrasonics which engineers claim vibrates more than 40,000 times per seconds, allowing effortless chopping.
The inventors of the ultrasonic knife dubbed C-200 claim that it looks like any other chef’s knife but the blade, using ultrasonic energy, works so fast that the movement is invisible to the naked eye.
Scott Heimendinger, founder of Seattle Ultrasonics, revealed that it took him six years to invent the knife, adding, “The C-200 does things other knives can’t.”
He said the inspiration for the ultrasonic knife came from industrial ultrasonic technology that makes smooth, effortless cuts, stating, “After more than a few setbacks, we invented our product.”
The hightech knife priced at $399 has a blade nearly 8 inches long, made from Japanese AUS-10 mai stainless steel.
The company claims that the blade is durable and can easily be resharpened just like any other knife.
The tech driven cutting tool’s battery is removable and it has enough power to cut and chop vegetables for 20 minutes straight on a single charge.
One X user, who bought the knife posted a review on X, stating, “The world's first Ultrasonic Chef's Knife is real and incredible.”
