King Charles takes big risk for Beatrice, Eugenie amid Sarah Ferguson drama
King Charles makes tough decision for Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson fate amid new scandal
King Charles appears to be under massive pressure the latest drama with Sarah Ferguson has put the monarch in a major dilemma about what the future holds for the York family.
The royal family had not been able to recover from Prince Andrew’s fall from grace when his ex-wife, who continues to live in the Royal Lodge with him, caused new tensions as secret email to Epstein were leaked.
Fergie had apologised to her ‘supreme friend’ Epstein in private after she publicly shunned the convicted paedophile and regretted her association with him.
Three major charities cut ties with the Duchess of York following news, despite a spokesperson claiming that she did it after Epstein had threatened legal action.
As Sarah was slowly being cut off from reputable charities, Buckingham Palace was growing worried about the situation.
All eyes were on King Charles and what he would do next. While many speculated a strict action, the monarch is unwilling to give in and disown his disgraced brother and Fergie, according to royal insiders cited by Daily Mail reporter, Martin Robinson.
“The King doesn’t want to cut ties with his brother, former sister-in-law and that side of the family,” the source said. “The late Queen, conscious that Fergie was the mother of her granddaughters, always took that view, even if Prince Philip couldn’t bear to be in the same room as Sarah.”
This is a huge risk for the monarch as the Yorks have caused massive reputational damage to the royal family and the King’s silent support could further jeopardise it.
The insider also noted that there is a reason why the King is not treating the Yorks like the Sussexes.
“Andrew and Fergie have never publicly criticised the monarchy or the King,” they said. “Andrew’s friends say that even in private they've never heard him say a bad word about his brother.”
The King seemingly wants to reward them loyalty but it could cost Charles to pay a hefty price to his reign.
