On Tuesday, September 15, it was announced that Robert Redford passed away at the age of 89 at his Sundance home in Utah, surrounded by loved ones.
Tributes poured in following the film legend’s death, proving the lasting impact that he left behind.
Meryl Streep expressed her condolences in a statement via People magazine, saying, “One of the lions has passed. Rest in peace my lovely friend,”
Jamie Lee Curtis took to her Instagram to share a photo of Redford along with the message: “ A LIFE! FAMILY. ART. TRANSFORMATION. ADVOCAY. CREATION. LEGACY Thank you Robert Redford.”
Author Stephen King shared his tribute on X, writing, “Robert Redford has passed away. He was part of a new and exciting Hollywood in the 70s and 80s. Hard to believe he was 89."
