Prince William and Prince Harry once shared a close bond together but have not spoken to each other in nearly three years.

Even though the Duke of Sussex have been making efforts to make amends with the royals, the Prince of Wales remains firm on his stance about estranged brother.

In July, during a secret peace summit between aides suggested that there might be some hope to bring the warring siblings together. Harry extended an olive branch to Buckingham and Kensington Palace, offering his diary engagements to avoid future clashes.

While King Charles seems to have an open mind about a reconciliation, William is vehemently denying any possibility from his end. However, there seems to be a very similar pattern in which both brothers are avoiding each other, according to expert and historian Dr Tessa Dunlop.

Harry arrived in UK for a four-day visit on Monday and has scheduled a number of meetings with the charities he supports in his home country, while declining to comment on an audience with his father.

Meanwhile, William suddenly announced a back-to-back schedule of charity visit in the duration of Harry’s stay. Both the brothers appear to be working in sync even in their estrangement, which seems to be a painful reminder of their lingering bond amid broken ties.

“On the third anniversary of the late Queen’s death the two men were less than ten miles apart; William at a Women’s Institute meeting in Sunningdale, Harry laying a wreath on his grandmother’s grave in St George’s Chapel, Windsor,” she pointed out to The Mirror.

“Like repelling magnets the two brothers did their best to look meaningfully busy while studiously avoiding each other. It does not need to be this hard. Or painful.”

She noted that “But much more time will be needed to heal the gigantic rift between the Prince of Wales and his younger brother”.

Buckingham Palace and Prince Harry’s representatives have refused to comment on any meetings between the Sussexes and the royals.
