Ariana Grande’s album Brighter Days Ahead lived up to its name, earning her one of the night’s biggest honour.
At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, the 7 Rings hitmaker walked into the event with seven nominations and left with three Moon Man trophies, including the most coveted award of the night: Video of the Year.

On Sunday, September 7, the Wicked star returned to the VMAs stage for the first time in seven years and made it count.
The Bang Bang singer faced off against Lady Gaga in two high-profile categories: Best Direction, which went to Gaga, and Video of the Year, where Grande bagged the victory.
Despite the Mayhem hitmaker leading the night with 12 nominations and taking home four awards, including Artist of the Year, the former Disney star with seven nods and four wins, claimed the top award.
Shortly after her big win, the Eternal Sunshine singer shared a heartfelt message with fans via Instagram Stories. Posting a half-faced selfie, the 32-year-old wrote, "I don’t have words… For now, just thank you."
