Michael Jackson’s only daughter Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson declared no involvement with the upcoming biopic, Michael, about her late father.

In a series of videos on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, September, 2, MJ and Debbie Rowe’s daughter publicly distanced herself from Lionsgate's fully-authorised musical biopic after Colman Domingo insinuated to that she was "very much in support of our film."

The Let Down singer-songwriter tagged the actor, who portrays her great grandfather Joe Jackson in the film, and wrote, "Don’t be telling people I was 'helpful' on the set of a movie I had 0% involvement in lol that is so weird."

"I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest / didn’t sit right with me," she continued. "When they didn’t address it I moved on with my life. Not my monkey, not my circus."

The American Horror Story actress explained she doesn’t want any association with the much anticipated $155M-budget two-part movie, saying, "And there’s a lot of inaccuracy and there’s a lot of just full-blown lies. At the end of the day, that doesn’t really fly with me. I don’t really like dishonesty."

Although Paris, 27, bluntly stated that the storyline isn’t entirely based on true events, she emphasized that fans of her dad should still feel free to enjoy the film when it comes out. "So just go watch it, go enjoy it, do whatever. Leave me out of it," she said before singing off.

As of now, Antoine Fuqua’s Michael is expected to hit theaters in April 2026, after being subjected to multiple delays.

In November 2024, it was pushed back six months for a scheduled release in late 2025, after which it was once again moved to a later date.

Paris’s cousin Jaafar Jackson stars as the King of Pop in Michael which is produced by co-executors of the Michael Jackson estate, John Branca and John McClain.
