Ozzy Osbourne friend Tom Morello makes shocking claim about pal death
Black Sabbath frontman breathed his last on July 22 at 76
Ozzy Osbourne’s pal makes claim about the Prince of Darkness’ death that has shocked the netizens.
Tom Morello revealed that the Grammy winner actually knew that he was going to die and that the July 5, Back to the Beginning concert would be his last concert ever.
The organizer and friend shared during his recent appearance on Chicago’s Q101 radio station that he was appointed as the musical director for the benefit concert in Birmingham, England.
Calling his friend ‘one of the all-time greats’, the 61-year-old mentioned that when he was hired by the rock legend and his wife, Sharon Osbourne, he decided to make it ‘the greatest day in the history of heavy metal’.
"I laid out to make it a great show for fans and for them," he told the host.
The band "got to play and feel the love not just from the bands, not just from the 40,000 people in the stadium but from people all over the world," he further shared.
While gushing his love for the metal monarch, he confessed that it was a ‘tragedy’ that the British songwriter bade farewell to this world, but he felt it was ‘a miracle’ he ‘lived as long as he did’.
"Ozzy Osbourne's lived a pretty on-the-edge lifestyle for a long time,"
The guitarist for Rage Against the Machines and Audioslave believed Ozzy took this final show as an opportunity to go on a high note.
