Meghan Markle’s wine customers are now getting less buzz for their buck.
After her original Napa Valley Rosé sold out within hours of its July 1st launch, the Duchess of Sussex made sure to increase the stock for the new vintage version of the beverage. But it came with a decrease in the alcoholic content.
According to the label, the new 2024 vintage contains 13.5% alcohol by volume, down from 14.5% in the original 2023 edition.
Despite offering less kick, the new rosé is still priced at over £22 a bottle with a three-bottle minimum, just like before.
The As Ever site insists the latest wine evokes “the same effortlessly elegant notes” as its predecessor, but fans were quick to note it “packs less of a punch,” per GB News.
And while the brand claims bottles are “going fast,” the rosé remained in stock two days after launch.
Previously, the 2023 vintage had caught attention not just for selling out quickly, but for its unusually high ABV — topping most celebrity rosés, including Kylie Minogue’s (11%), Post Malone’s (12%), and Brad Pitt’s Miraval (12.5%).
