Ozzy Osbourne biopic receives new update days after rocker’s death
Ozzy Osbourne’s biographical movie enters new stage following singer’s demise
Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon were working together on bringing his biopic to life, before the Black Sabbath frontman passed away, but the project is still in works.
The movie is reportedly inspired by the rocker and his wife’s life together and their marriage and it has entered a new phase in development.
A spokesperson for Polygram Entertainment informed Variety on Wednesday, August 6, that the feature film is “currently in negotiations with a director.”
Although details about the movie have not been disclosed yet but the project was announced by Polygram and Osbourne Media, Ozzy and Sharon’s label, in 2021.
The move was set to be produced by Sharon and her children Jack and Aimee, whom she shares with the late rockstar, along with Kelly.
The legendary musician was married to Sharon from 1982 until his passing on July 22.
Speaking about his death, the family previously released a statement, saying, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time.”
