Princess Charlotte echoes Prince George during latest outing
Princess Charlotte stepped in for Prince George as she joined their father Prince William in Switzerland
Princess Charlotte is building quite the collection of lucky charms.
On Sunday, July 27, the 10-year-old royal joined her father Prince William in Basel, Switzerland, to cheer on the Lionesses in their 3-1 victory over Spain. But all eyes were on the new friendship bracelets adorning her wrists: a purple string bracelet, a pink one, and a green-and-white design.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Charlotte has been spotted sporting similar handmade trinkets before, including at Wimbledon earlier this year. It's a tradition that runs in the family.
Prince George wore one in his 12th birthday portrait, while William once proudly sported a bracelet that read “papa,” made by Charlotte herself before his trip to South Africa.
Even King Charles has been in on the trend, seen wearing a possible friendship bracelet during engagements last summer. And it seems Prince Louis can’t resist them either; William once revealed that his youngest son loves to sneak off with his sister’s creations.
Charlotte’s love of arts and crafts, and even Taylor Swift (who popularised the friendship bracelet trend), makes the accessory all the more fitting.
