Pete Davidson steps into fatherhood with new sense of peace
Pete Davidson opens up about how amazing he felt when he found out he's going to be a dad
Pete Davidson revealed that his world shifted when he found out he was going to be a dad.
The 31 year old comedian and his girlfriend Elsie Hewitt shared the news earlier this month that they were expecting their first baby.
From the moment Pete learned that his girlfriend, 29, was pregnant, something inside him changed.
The former Saturday Night Live star felt an unexpected calm settle over him and stopped tying his happiness to his career.
He told People magazine that he couldn’t wait to care for his child, admitting that as soon as he heard the news, he thought, “Oh wow, what I do is just a job.”
"I realised I was kind of basing my happiness on work, which is ridiculously unhealthy. So it gave me this weird sense of calmness, where this is just a job and now I have someone to do it for," he continued.
The King of Staten Island star shared that he was excited about the idea of his baby having playdates with little Saga, the four month old daughter of his friend Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox.
He said: “We're going to have awesome play dates. Yeah, that's [going to be] a cool play date.”
However, Pete believes that his beloved pal MGK is a great dad as he looks up to him as a father.
