Queen Camilla took part in an annual day trip with her grandchildren.

Queen Camilla may be known for her refined palate, but even she drew the line at one of this summer’s strangest viral food trends.

Celebrating her 78th birthday week in style, the Queen treated her five grandchildren Lola, Freddy, Eliza, Louis, and Gus to a unique ice cream tasting experience at the ultra chic Ice Cream Project by Anya Hindmarch in Belgravia.

The royal group took part in a £45 per person blind tasting session, designed to test their taste buds with a line-up of quirky and unconventional flavours.

Armed with notepads and plenty of curiosity, the family was tasked with guessing the ingredients behind a selection of frozen surprises.

Among the wildest offerings were Olive oil, sriracha hot sauce, and pickled onion ice cream.

While the grandkids were game for the challenge, Queen Camilla politely passed on at least one of the more bizarre flavours, clearly unimpressed by the viral craze sweeping social media.

According to insiders, the Queen and her five grandchildren had a blast sampling a line-up of eccentric ice creams at Anya Hindmarch’s Ice Cream Project in Belgravia.

“Camilla and her grandchildren had a great time tasting all of the strange taste,” a source told The Sun.

But there was one seasoning that proved too much, even for her palate.

"Camilla didn’t fancy tasting the pickled onion ice cream," the source revealed, referring to one of the parlour’s most divisive and most talked about creations.

The boutique ice cream spot is known for pushing boundaries, offering Irn-Bru, Bird’s Custard, Bisto Gravy, and even a Maldon Sea Salt sorbet.

The outing took place at the trendy Ice Cream Project by Anya Hindmarch in Belgravia, where the Queen and her five grandchildren Lola, Freddy, Eliza, Louis, and Gus participated in the brand’s £45 blind tasting tea.

The experience features 15 wildly inventive , ranging from Irn-Bru and Bisto Gravy to McVitie’s HobNobs and pickled onion.

While she gamely joined in the fun, she drew the line at the pickled onion scoop, opting instead for some personal favourites.

“Afterwards, she bought a lot of treats for her grandchildren and left with a scoop of Club Orange and another of Ovaltine, both for herself,” a source told The Sun.
