'EastEnders' Martine McCutcheon's money troubles deepeen after divorce and home sale
Martine is best known for her role in 'Love Actually' and as Tiffany in 'EastEnders'
Martine McCutcheon's financial troubles have taken a serious turn, as the star has been declared bankrupt just months after her split from husband Jack McManus and the sale of their family home.
Martine, actress and singer best known for her role in Love Actually and as Tiffany in EastEnders, filed for bankruptcy over an outstanding debt to a finance company, according to official public records.
Her financial difficulties comes shortly after the public breakdown of her marriage to musician Jack McManus, with whom she shares a ten-year-old son.
To note, the couple wed in a lavish ceremony at Italy's Lake Como in 2012, announced their shock split last year.
Just two months before the bankruptcy order, issued under her married name Martine McManus, the couple sold their five-bedroom detached family home in Surrey for £1,355,000.
Although the order was issued in her married name, McCutcheon was legally single at the time.
Sources close to the actress suggested that she made every effort to save the relationship but ultimately respected her husband's decision to part ways.
In an emotional Instagram statement regarding the split, McCutcheon wrote: 'After much thought and consideration, Jack has decided it's best for us to separate after 18 years together and I accept his decision.'
She later added: 'I continue to send Jack, all the love, luck and happiness for the next chapters of his life.'
It was later reported that the couple had listed their home on the market three months earlier in May last year with an asking price of £1.5 million.
