Meghan Markle close pal reveals story behind ‘Camilla’s birthday gift’
Queen Camilla seemingly received a special surprise from Meghan Markle: Details
Meghan Markle sparked major speculation about correspondence between the Sussexes and the royal family after a cryptic post on Wednesday.
The As Ever founder shared a video of a custom-packaged wooden crate of her rosé wine with a birthday message before Queen Camilla’s 78th birthday on Thursday. Her post had also come just two hours after Buckingham Palace shared an official birthday portrait of Camilla.
Meghan’s video was captioned as “Sending birthday love – (both near and far) to my ladies”.
Many were left wondering if the gesture had been for King Charles’s wife but Meghan’s close pal finally lift the lid on the gift.
It turns out two friends of the Duchess of Sussex had received the special gift but neither of them had any connection to the royal family or Queen Camilla.
Heather Dorak and Jamie Kern Lima took to Instagram to share their separate gifts boxes that they had received from Meghan.
The IT Cosmetics founder, Jamie, had recently hosted Meghan on her podcast. She shared a picture of the gift with a sweet caption.
“"@meghan thank you for the most magical birthday basket! Our friendship is a gift, as is your beautiful soul!”
Meanwhile, Heather posted a picture of the box with a sprig of lavender, adding, “You know how to make a friend feel special @meghan”.
Since Meghan’s post came with the backdrop of alleged ‘peace talks’ between King Charles and Prince Harry, it sparked hope that things were moving in a positive direction after the years-long rift.
Royal fans hoping for a possible reunion between the royals and the Sussexes would surely be left disappointed after the revelation.
