Kate Middleton makes history as royal by breaking big tradition
Future Queen Catherine 'surprises' her well-wishers with emotional message
Kate Middleton garnered praise for making history as a royal family member after her much-awaited public-facing duty since the royal Ascot setback.
For the unversed, the Princess of Wales stepped out to tour the Wellbeing Garden at Colchester Hospital in Essex on July 2.
During a meaningful conversation on her visit, the future Queen called her cancer battle a "rollercoaster," revealing it is difficult to put on a brave face during treatment.
Royal expert Jennie Bond lauded Catherine's brave move and heaped praise on her for breaking from conventional royal behaviour.
In conversation with the Mirror, she said, "The Princess has taken us all by surprise again by speaking from the heart in emotional terms about how cancer has changed her life."
Jennie added, "I think it's incredibly refreshing for us to be told exactly what is going on and how Catherine is feeling."
The royal commentator shared that the Princess of Wales sends us an important message that she put on a brave face, but sometimes she is "still struggling."
Kate Middleton's decision to "speak so frankly is certain to resonate with cancer sufferers all over the country, indeed the world," the royal expert believes.
"Her words will spark a valuable discussion about the various stages of the cancer journey - and how it is different for everyone but universally difficult," Jennie stated.
