Prince William, Harry’s uncle shares rare memory on Diana’s birthday
Charles Spencer shares never-before-seen family photo amid Prince Harry, Prince William royal rift
Princess Diana’s younger brother, Charles Spencer, commemorated an important occasion with a special throwback.
Diana continues to hold a special place in the lives of now-estranged brother, Prince William and Prince Harry. However, the siblings are sadly not on speaking terms anymore given the rift between them.
Despite their strained ties, the warring brothers are united protecting the legacy and memory of their mother. On Tuesday, July 1 – on what would have been Diana’s 64th birthday – Charles shared a rare family photo in which the siblings were all seen together.
In the black and white photo, Diana was joined by her brother Charles smiling while sitting on a camel, as their father, John Spencer, looked on.
“Another July 1st, from long ago - 1967, in fact: for Diana’s 6th birthday party, my father (standing, left) - to huge excitement - secured the services of Bert the Camel, from Thorney Wildlife Park, in Peterborough,” Charles wrote in the caption.
The late Princess of Wales – tragically died in a car crash in Paris, aged 36, in 1997 – is buried in her family’s Althorp Estate. She was born to John Spencer and Frances Shand Kydd.
Apart from Charles, she also has sisters Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellows. Before they moved to Althorp, the family lived in Park House in Norfolk.
