Fans outraged as Harry and Andrew left out of Palace message
Prince Harry and Andrew omission infuriates fans
A message posted by the Royal Family to mark Armed Forces Day has sparked backlash from some royal fans, who claim it appeared to overlook two of its most prominent veterans Prince Harry and Prince Andrew.
The tribute, shared across the Royal Family’s official social media channels, aimed to honour those who serve and have served in the military.
"Saluting all members of the military this Armed Forces Day. Thank you for your tireless service, protecting the UK and promoting peace overseas.
We are hugely grateful for your efforts, often in the face of danger, and those of your loved ones, providing support at home."
While the message was warmly received by many, others were quick to point out the absence of any reference to Prince Harry who completed two tours of duty in Afghanistan and has long championed veterans’ causes as well as Prince Andrew, a former Royal Navy helicopter pilot who served during the Falklands War.
Critics took to the comments to voice their frustration, accusing the Palace of allowing personal tensions to overshadow military service.
One user wrote, "No mention of Prince Harry? That says it all," while another added, "You don’t have to like them, but you can’t erase their service."
The post comes amid ongoing tensions within the royal ranks, particularly following Harry’s step back from royal duties in 2020 and Andrew’s continued withdrawal from public life after controversies in recent years.
