Buckingham Palace celebrated a special veteran's birthday after King Charles snubbed his son, Prince Harry, by not including him in the Armed Forces Day tribute.
The monarch's office released a statement in a bid to honour Geoffrey Roberts, a senior Briton on his 100th birthday.
The Royal family dropped a delightful photo of Princess Anne presenting the MBE to the former military person to recognise his efforts in the Battle of Arnhem.
The Palace's spokesperson reads, "Earlier this week, Geoff received an MBE from The Princess Royal for his charity work and services to the commemoration of the Battle of Arnhem."
"Geoff was part of Operation Market Garden, an Allied military operation carried out during the Second World War. During his time at war, he was sent to a Prisoner of War camp where he was put to work in a coal mine until the war ended."
"Last year, to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Arnhem, The Princess Royal and Geoff took part in commemorations to remember those who died during the Battle."
It is important to note that the royals issued a new statement after the King did not mention Prince Harry while marking Armed Forces Day.
