King Charles makes one final decision for ‘darling boy’ Prince Harry amid rift

King Charles, who is undergoing weekly cancer treatments since the past year, is not in denial of the eventuality of things as he makes important note of future plans before Prince William take the throne.

The tensions between the royals have continued since Prince Harry exited his senior royal positions. Prince William has not been on speaking terms with his brother since nearly three years and the King has also stopped responding to Harry’s attempts to contact him.

As William and Kate Middleton quietly prepare for their roles, the Buckingham Palace is making sure that there is no repeat of the drama that occurred during Queen Elizabeth’s funeral and Charles’s Coronation.

According to a report by The Telegraph, the Palace has not said much on the record but the royal aides “have kept their counsel, determined not to fan the flames of this deeply personal rift in public”.

Sources reveal that King Charles has “factored not only the Duke but the Duchess of Sussex and their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, three, into the heart of his funeral plans”.

Whenever the funeral takes place, Charles is “adamant” that his 'darling boy' Prince Harry takes his “rightful place at the centre of his family, perhaps mindful of that final chance to create family harmony”.

The monarch’s office is always ahead in planning things. Even during the times of Queen Elizabeth, ‘Operation London Bridge’ was planned well in advance to dictate how to handle the death of the Queen.

Similarly, for Charles, “detailed plans cover every eventuality in terms of the potential location of the King’s death, with procedures in place to transport the monarch’s coffin from each royal residence to Buckingham Palace”.

However, aides have warned that the “King’s funeral plans had not been finalised and cautioned against speculation”.
